We are honoured to welcome The Most Reverend Dr Thabo Makgoba, Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town and Primate of Southern Africa, and patron of the Renewal Programme, as the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual Marikana Lecture.
Archbishop Thabo Makgoba is a distinguished leader of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. As patron of the Marikana Renewal Programme since its inception, he has played a significant role in the journey of renewing hope, strength and dignity for the families of those who passed, and for the communities impacted by the tragedy.
He has played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and dialogue between the mining industry, government, organised labour and local communities, helping to build partnerships that support reconciliation and lasting social progress.
